We learned about two settings.

A: It's in the kitchen.

A: We have breakfast in the kitchen.

A: It's newspaper.

Q: What can we do with newspaper?

A: We can read daily news from newspaper.

A: It's a milk carton.

A: We can drink milk.

A: Milk can make us strong and healthy.

A: It's a phone book.

A: We can find phone numbers with the phone book.

A: It's a calendar.

A: We can know the date with the calendar.

A: It's a cereal box.

A: We can eat cereal and it is good for breakfast.

A: It's a note.

A: We can leave the message with the note.

Q: What's this place?

A: It's  in the grocery store.

A: We can buy things in the grocery store.

Q: What is on the shopping list?

A: They are milk, toothpaste and apples.

Q: What is on the shopping list?

A: They are green beans，oranges and cat food.

Q: What is on the shopping list?

A: They are eggs，bread and soap.

本课教学目标：

1.孩子们能识别场景(Kitchen)（grocery store）。

2.孩子们能说出场景(餐桌)（杂货店）中物品的名称。

3.孩子们能开始将物体与其名称对应起来，包括他们还没见过写过但是能拼读出来的新词。

4.孩子们能开始理解场景中各物品的作用。

本课关键词：

At the breakfast table：newspaper ，calendar， phone book，cereal ，note，milk carton。孩子们学习和掌握物品上的印刷字以及他们的作用（Printed words give us information to help us understand what something is.）

In the grocery store： shopping list，toothpaste，eggs，cat food，green beans，bread，soap，oranges

课后练习：

1. 语音练习，跟着语音进行练习，并开始尝试看词读句，从图向文字过渡（当然孩子们可能会读不出，可以再次听语音练习后再读。）

2. 笔头练习：

   完成Classroom Connection Book第4和第5页，参照下图：

   

找一找你身边的标志（字母，单词，数字等），写在横线上，至少写5个。

圈出与单词相匹配的图片，并与单词连一连。
