V. Henry Fielding

Born of an old aristocratic family, Henry Fielding (1707-1754) was, for a period of time, at the prestigious Eton, where he cultivated a wide and genuine taste for the classics. Due to a quarrel with his father, he had to work for a living early in life. He first tried his luck at play writing, and during a span of nine years (1729-37) he turned out 26 plays and became the most successful living playwright of the time.
