Fern and Matt are / at the farm. “What is / in the old barn? ” they ask.

“Junk!” Granddad says. “Have a look. ”

Fern and Matt / see lots of stuff. “This is / not junk. This is / good stuff, ” they say.

Q: Can you make a sentence with the phrase “this is” ?

A: This is my mom.

A: I can see lots of animals at the zoo.

Matt / finds a ball. “This is fun, ” he says.

Q: Which word contains the sound /ɔ:l/ at the end?

A: Ball contains the sound /ɔ:l/ at the end.

Q: Can you make a sentence with the word “find” ?

A: I find a robot under the desk.

“What is that / on the mat? ” Fern says. “I see a bat! ”

Q: Which word contains the sound /æt/ at the end?

A: Mat/Bat contains the sound /æt/ at the end.

“Here is / a mitt, ” Granddad says. “It will / fit my hand. ”

Q: Can you make a sentence with the word “fit” ?

A: The shoes fit me.

Wham! Play ball!

Q: What are these sight words?

A: These sight words are now, as, with, one, his, they, because, be.

A: I have to go now.

A: Can you play now?

A: Is it time for recess now?

A: I have the same skates as you.

A: My glass is not as full.

A: He came to the party as a gorilla.

A: I like ketchup with my fries.

A: He swam with a dolphin.

A: Will you play with us?

A: Which one is yours?

A: I had only one scoop of ice cream.

A: I have one cat and two dogs.

A: He rode his scooter.

A: He has a swing in his yard.

A: He made cookies for his family.

A: Were they on your baseball team?

A: Cats purr when they are happy.

A: Dogs can dream when they sleep.

A: I stayed in bed because I was sick.

A: He wore a coat because it was cold.
