Q:How many bowling balls are there on the rack?

A:There are seven bowling balls on the rack.

Q:Each bowler gets one bowling ball, how many bowling balls are left?

A:There are seven bowling balls in all. Two balls are taken away. There are five bowling balls left.

Q: Can you use six ways to show the number sentence “7-2=5” ?

A: Seven take away two is five；

Seven minus two equals five；

Seven subtract two equals five；

Two less than seven is five;

The difference between seven and two is five.

Counting backwards 2 from 7 is 5. 

Q: How many lights are there on the left side and right side?

A: There are ten lights on the left side, there are six lights on the right side.

Q:How to get six?

A: If we take away four lights from the left side, we can get six lights.

10 minus 4 equals 6. 

10 take away 4 is 6.

Q:What is the difference between 17 and 11?

A:The difference between 17 and 11 is 6.

17 minus 11 equals 6.

17 take away 11 is 6.
