Continents and Oceans

T：How many continents and oceans are on Earth? And what are they?

S: There are seven continents and four oceans. They are North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and Antarctica. Four oceans are the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean, and the Arctic Ocean.

The Great Wall of China is the largest wall on Earth.

Mountain Fuji is the tallest mountain in Japan.

The Sydney Opera House sits on the edge of the ocean.

The island of Greenland isn’t very green. Most of it is covered all year by a thick layer of ice and snow.

The Statue of Liberty is a symbol of freedom.

The Grand Canyon is 1600 meters deep.

The Galapagos Island: All wild life is protected on the Galapagos Island.

The Andes Mountains are the longest chain of mountains on Earth. Some mountains in Andes are volcanoes that still erupt.

The Great Sphinx is a huge statue with a body of a lion and a head of a man. The face was carved to look like an Egyptian king.

The Sahara is the largest desert on Earth. The Sahara is so hot and dry that even when it rains the drops often disappear before reaching the ground.

The Eiffel Tower was built over one hundred years ago. At that time the 984 foot tower was higher than any building on Earth.

The Colosseum was the very first sports stadium.
