Q: What is a habitat?

A: A habitat is a place where animals live and can get what they need to survive.

Q: What's this habitat?

A: It' s the Arctic.

The Arctic is freezing, cold, dry and icy.

Q: What's this habitat?

A: It's an ocean.

An ocean is watery, deep and blue.

Q: What's this habitat?

A: It's  a  desert.

The desert is sandy, dry and hot.

Q: What's this habitat?

A: It's a forest.

A forest is rainy, humid, green and with lots of trees.

Q: What's this habitat?

A: It's the grassland.

The grassland is grassy, dry and with some trees.

Q: What's this habitat?

A: It's a swamp.

A swamp is wet, humid and dark.

Q: What is a need?

A: Plants need soil, sunlight, air, water and space to survive.

A: Animals need air, water, space, shelter and food to survive.

本课教学目标：

1. 引导学生为动物找到相应的栖息地，让孩子们找到不同动物的栖息地。

2. 通过一个韦恩图，让学生明白动植物生长所需要的东西分别是什么。What do plants need to live?What do animals need to live?

3. 进一步引导学生关注动物所需要的5个最关键的东西：shelter,food,water,air,space, 通过分类，找出不同动物的shelter，让学生明白shelter的概念以及了解其基本功能。通过图片分类，学生能够明白food以及water是动物生长必不可少的两种物质。学生不需要会读这些文字，只需要能够理解其概念，并且可以知道what do animals need to live?

4.通过图片引导学生关注动物需要空气，我们应该保护自然，减少空气污染。

The habitat for the dolphin/crab/fish/whale/oyster and electric ray is the ocean.
